ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

As part of the Global Materials Sourcing (GMS) Team, The Sourcing Developer of trims materials will support the GMS trims development & sourcing activities that services all Brands and product categories.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Manage trim development timelines in alignment with the go-to-market calendar, ensuring milestones are met with accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and finished goods vendors to ensure timely and reliable delivery of trims for both development and production.
• Act as a key contact for development teams across brand and product supply, ensuring alignment on trim-related requirements and updates.
• Partner with VF Materials Labs, Sourcing, and Quality teams to support trim quality standards and assist in resolving issues during development and production.
• Support cost engineering efforts by collecting data, preparing supplier comparisons, and contributing to cost optimization strategies.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives by identifying and evaluating eco-friendly trim options in collaboration with Innovation and Brand Development teams.
• Coordinate with global and local suppliers to ensure compliance with brand, manufacturing, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor supplier performance using scorecards and escalate issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of trim development activities, supplier communications, and testing results.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with an ability to work collaboratively across functions and within a matrixed organization
• A Team player but with ability to work independently
• A bold and creative approach to problem solving
• Able to work under pressure with multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
• Solid understanding of Apparel & Footwear materials, trims related commodities and production processes
• Basic Chinese language skills is an advantage
