UK Pilates Lead

The Role

• Develop and evolve our Mat and Reformer Pilates programmes, ensuring an exceptional member experience.
• Support club teams and Product Managers in delivering consistent, high-quality Pilates classes.
• Drive participation, occupancy and member engagement through data, app ratings and feedback.
• Lead Pilates events, workshops, product launches and digital initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and the Global Pilates team to introduce innovative ideas and improve our offering.
• Lead instructor recruitment, onboarding, training and development, building a talented and engaged Pilates community.
• Conduct regular club visits, completing at least five audits and instructor assessments each month.
• Build relationships with industry leaders and stay ahead of trends to strengthen Virgin Active’s position in Pilates.

Who We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Mat Pilates qualification with a Reformer Pilates specialism, accredited by a recognised UK certification programme.
• At least five years Pilates teaching experience, particularly in group instruction.
• Proven experience developing successful Pilates programmes and maintaining high coaching standards.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience training, mentoring and developing instructors.
• A data-driven, commercially minded approach to improving participation, performance and member experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for innovation and delivering world-class experiences.
• Flexibility to work across our Support Office and clubs at least three days per week, with UK travel and occasional weekend working as required.
