In a nutshell
Bring your curiosity and we’ll help you build your skills!
Enjoy organising, helping people and getting things done? Curious about technology and looking for an opportunity to learn? We’d love to hear from you.
At Virgin Atlantic, technology helps keep our people connected and our airline moving. We’re looking for a motivated Software & Hardware Asset Coordinator to join the team that looks after the equipment and software our colleagues use every day.
You don’t need to arrive knowing everything about technology asset management. Training and support can be provided - what matters is your willingness to learn, attention to detail and enthusiasm to get involved.
Working alongside our Asset Manager and Asset Lead, you’ll help look after technology throughout its journey with us: from ordering and receiving equipment to allocating, tracking, recovering and responsibly recycling it
Day to day
This is a varied, practical role where you’ll spend time working with equipment, keeping records accurate and helping colleagues and suppliers. You’ll:
- Help order, receive, unpack and organise technology equipment, keeping our stockrooms tidy and well managed.
- Coordinate the allocation, return, reuse and replacement of devices, including laptops, iPads and phones.
- Keep our asset records up to date so we know what we have, where it is and who is using it.
- Help colleagues with requests relating to lost, stolen, damaged or faulty equipment.
- Support software licence tracking, helping ensure colleagues have access to the software they need.
- Monitor and action incidents and requests coming into the team’s queue, keeping colleagues updated and seeing each task through to resolution.
- Work with our suppliers and internal teams to keep requests moving and resolve queries.
- Support purchasing, invoicing, stock checks, reporting and audits.
- Learn to use ServiceNow, our system for managing technology records and requests.
- Help coordinate website security certificate renewals, with guidance and training.
- Support secure and sustainable equipment disposal, helping us make responsible use of our technology.
- Share ideas for making everyday processes easier and more effective.
About you
You might already work in technology, or bring useful experience from administration, customer service, stock control, logistics or another coordination role.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is motivated, dependable and keen to learn.
- Enjoys being organised and takes care to get the details right.
- Is friendly, approachable and happy to help others.
- Can manage different tasks and ask for support when priorities change.
- Is comfortable using everyday computer applications and learning new systems.
- Works well with others and takes ownership of seeing tasks through.
- Enjoys practical work as well as keeping accurate records.
Experience in asset management, software licensing or ServiceNow would be helpful, but isn’t essential if you bring the right attitude and a willingness to develop.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We want everyone to feel welcome, valued and confident to contribute.
If this sounds like an opportunity you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you!
What makes this role exciting
You’ll see how technology supports an airline, build relationships across the business and develop skills in hardware, software, purchasing and supplier coordination.
You’ll have opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and make a visible difference - whether that’s getting equipment to someone who needs it or helping a returned device find its next user.
This role is office based because receiving deliveries, organising stock and handling equipment are important parts of the day.
Accessibility and inclusion
We’re committed to making our recruitment process accessible. If you need reasonable adjustments or additional support, you can let us know in your application. If you’d prefer to speak to someone directly before or during your application, interview or assessment, please contact our recruitment team at [email protected].
We know every role and candidate is different, so we’ll discuss the adjustments available for the role and at each stage of recruitment, and how best to support you.
At Virgin Atlantic, we’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from everyone. Whatever your background, identity, experience or perspective, we’d love to hear from you.
