Basic Salary: R 25 000 per month + uncapped commission

Fundwell is a high-growth financial technology platform specialising in capital access and management solutions for US-based small and medium enterprises. As we scale toward our 200-seat milestone in Cape Town, we are seeking experienced Sales Team Leaders to join our leadership structure and drive measurable performance across our Business Development Representative (BDR) teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends team development with active sales participation. The successful candidate will coach, mentor, and grow a team of BDRs - building individual development plans, running regular coaching sessions, and helping each team member build their skills and reach their potential. We're looking for leaders who lead from the front and inspire by example, staying connected to the day-to-day and invested in their team's growth.
What you'll do
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly team performance
- Monitor pipeline and forecast performance
- Report on critical performance metrics to leadership: sales volumes, decline rates, approval ratios, and funded outcomes
- Hold regular one-on-ones and coaching sessions to develop each rep
- Conduct structured daily huddles and live call coaching sessions, including real-time objection handling demonstrations
- Identify underperformance early and implement corrective coaching
- Ensure full compliance with Fundwell's ethical standards and communication protocols
Requirements
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2 years leading or supervising a sales team (formal or informal)
- Ability to meet targets under pressure while keeping the team steady
- A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, personally and as a team
- Strong coaching and people-development skills
- Solid grasp of the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing
- Confident with sales metrics, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting
- Proficiency with a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and comfort using data to drive decisions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
