On- Premise CI/CD Infrastructure Engineer

 Project Overview & Engagement Profile

The cooperation involves maintaining, scaling, and optimising core on-premise infrastructure for a major global investment bank. The primary focus centers on driving the reliability and efficiency of essential developer tools and services — including Jenkins, BitBucket, and BuildBarn — for an on-prem installation serving a user base of over 10,000 developers. The delivery of services relies on strong system administration, deep networking knowledge, and automation. While 99% of the infrastructure is Linux-based, cross-ecosystem support covering Linux, Windows, and macOS environments is required. For engagements at a Senior level, the scope extends to leading the diagnosis and resolution of complex performance bottlenecks across this large-scale infrastructure.

Required Expertise and Capabilities:

• Solid background in Linux administration and a deep understanding of networking concepts.

• At least 5 years of commercial experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.

• Hands-on experience in managing and optimising on-premise developer tools (such as Jenkins, BitBucket, and BuildBarn).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash and Python; basic knowledge of PowerShell is an asset) for automating administrative tasks.

• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving system performance problems at scale.

• Capability to provide multi-platform environment support (primarily Linux, with secondary support for Windows and macOS).

• Commercial experience operating within large-scale Enterprise or financial environments is highly preferred.

• English language proficiency at a minimum [B2/C1] level, ensuring seamless technical communication.
