Visa is an American payments technology company whose network traces back to the BankAmericard programme launched in 1958 and which became an independent public company in 2008. It does not issue cards or lend money; instead it operates VisaNet, the switching infrastructure that authorises, clears and settles hundreds of billions of transactions a year between issuing banks, acquirers and merchants in more than two hundred countries. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company earns fees on payment volume and processed transactions, and has expanded into account-to-account transfers, tokenisation, fraud scoring and open banking through Visa Direct and its value-added services division.

Job Description

We will be accepting applications for this position from 9/17/2026-9/24/2026

The Associate Product Manager (APM) Program is designed for recent graduates to cultivate the next generation of product leaders. You will work on priority business initiatives and follow a learning and development plan focused on core product-management skills. We are investing in the next generation of talent to ensure our products, services and data are the center of the changing ways people pay and get paid, for everyone, everywhere. You will join a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on building useful, secure, and inclusive payment experiences.

Through the rotations and learning plan, you can build skills in innovation and design, product marketing, commercialization, and product implementation. The program is intended to prepare participants for product-management opportunities after successful completion.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will help move product ideas from discovery and design through development, launch, and market adoption. You will assist in delivering next generation product offerings to our customers, including innovative payment experiences, cutting edge fraud prevention, capabilities to help banks, tech companies, fintechs and merchants meet their consumers’ needs, and local solutions tailored to one or more of the 200 countries we operate in.

You will be most effective in this role if you are curious, open to learning and testing ideas, able to work independently and collaboratively, and able to reprioritize when information or business needs change. You should be able to move assigned work from planning through completion and communicate progress, risks, and decisions. This role contributes to Visa’s product strategy by helping teams deliver products that address customer and business needs.

Training and Development

  • Participate in immersive development intensives designed to accelerate product leadership capabilities and support growth throughout the program.

  • Strengthen skills through hands-on workshops, case studies, simulations, and real-world business challenges.

  • Learn from Visa leaders, industry experts, and program alumni through interactive discussions and experiential learning opportunities.

  • Collaborate with a cohort of peers through shared learning experiences, networking, and community-building activities.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop product strategy, go-to-market plans, and clear product documents, such as concept briefs, business cases, and product requirements.

  • Help build and maintain product roadmaps that connect product goals, customer needs, and business priorities.

  • Build knowledge of Visa’s products and help teams develop or improve product features, using existing capabilities when appropriate.

  • Research market trends, competitors, and user needs.

  • Summarize research into clear insights and recommendations that support product decisions.

  • Partner with Design and Engineering to develop, test, implement, and improve product concepts.

  • Collaborate with internal Visa teams (e.g., regional teams, Product Marketing, Business Development, Finance) to define and execute a cohesive strategy related to a specific product or feature
