Job Description

We are seeking an experienced technology and commercially savvy, Sales Engineer to support the sale of advanced fraud prevention and risk solutions, with a specific focus on solutions such as, Featurespace, VCAS and other Issuing Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales process by providing deep technical sales expertise, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and ensuring seamless integration of Issuing solutions. This role requires a thorough understanding of client systems and the ability to support direct sales efforts effectively. You will work alongside the sales team to provide technical sales expertise and help in presenting these solutions to potential clients. The goal is to ensure that the sales team has the necessary technical support to successfully sell the company's advanced fraud prevention and risk scoring products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Sales Expertise: Serve as the technical expert throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, working with prospects to position Risk and Identity solutions including but not limited to Featurespace’s adaptive behavioral analytics alongside or integrated with Visa Protect and other third-party fraud solutions.
  • Value Articulation: Understand and articulate the value of both ARIC Risk Hub and Visa Protect (such as Visa Advanced Authorization, Risk Manager, Visa Secure) in addressing specific fraud challenges across the payment lifecycle.
  • Client Advisory: Advise on how to combine Featurespace machine learning models with Visa’s network-based intelligence and decisioning to enhance fraud detection efficacy and reduce false positives.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical sales support throughout the sales process, including responding to RFPs, creating technical documentation, and addressing inquiries.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct detailed and tailored product demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing the value and capabilities of Issuing Risk and Identity solutions.
  • Industry Awareness: Maintain deep awareness of evolving fraud vectors, regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD2, EMV3DS, AML), and industry trends affecting digital payments and financial crime.
  • Client Requirements Translation: Translate requirements into actionable technical solutions, ensuring that Risk and Identity products meet and exceed expectations.
  • Implementation Collaboration: Collaborate during the product implementation phase to ensure a successful go-live within the designated timeline.

Visarequiresat least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • What you will need:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in pre-sales, fraud strategy, or technical consulting roles within fraud prevention, payments, or financial services.
  • Direct experience working with or integrating Visa Protect solutions (e.g., Visa Risk Manager, Visa Advanced Authorization, Decision Manager, or Visa Secure).
  • Hands-on experience with Featurespace’s ARIC Risk Hub or similar machine learning-based fraud platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of:
  • Adaptive behavioral analytics, supervised/unsupervised ML models
  • Transaction monitoring, alerting, scoring, and model tuning
  • Payment ecosystem fraud detection (card issuance, acquiring, gateways, wallets)
  • Decision orchestration and fraud policy design
  • Technical familiarity with various APIs scripting, data mapping, and solution architecture.
  • What will also help:
  • Exposure to real-time payment schemes and cross-border fraud challenges.
  • Experience delivering solutions within global banks, fintech's, processors, or PSPs using both Visa and third-party fraud platforms.
  • Knowledge of SCA (Strong Customer Authentication), tokenization, and payment security standards.
