Who are we looking for:  

VML, part of WPP, is looking for an Associate QA Analyst to join our QA team. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in Quality Assurance with foundational knowledge of software testing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly in a collaborative web and digital delivery environment. The person will support the creation and execution of test cases, document defects clearly, validate fixes, and help ensure that releases meet expected quality standards. Exposure to automation, API testing, or QA tracking tools is a plus. 

What you'll do:  

• Assist |  in creating, updating, and maintaining test cases and test documentation for software components. 

• Execute |  manual test cases for content releases, production fixes, application enhancements, and regression cycles. 

• Document |  Defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, screenshots, and supporting evidence. 

• Validate |  bug fixes and perform basic retesting to confirm that issues are resolved. 

• Collaborate |  with QA Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, and other team members to clarify requirements and testing scope. 

• Learn |  the assigned software platform, QA processes, project standards, and tools used to support delivery. 

• Support |  the collection of test execution status, defect information, and basic QA metrics to improve overall quality.

• Detail-Oriented |  You have strong attention to detail and care about delivering accurate, high-quality work. 

• Curious |  You are eager to learn QA practices, testing tools, digital platforms, and new technologies. 

• Collaborative |  You communicate clearly and work well with developers, QA teammates, and project stakeholders. 

• Organized |  You can follow testing instructions, document results, and manage assigned tasks responsibly. 

• Analytical |  You can compare expected and actual behavior, identify inconsistencies, and explain findings clearly. 

• Adaptable |  You are comfortable with changing priorities, project needs, and evolving delivery timelines. 

What you'll need:  

• Foundational knowledge of QA concepts, SDLC/STLC, test case design, defect lifecycle, and regression testing. 

• Basic experience executing manual test cases for web applications, content updates, campaigns, or digital platforms. 

• Ability to write clear defects and test evidence in tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, DevTrack, or similar tools. 

• Understanding front-end testing, cross-browser validation, responsive checks, and basic backend validation concepts. 

• Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain what happened, where it happened, and how to reproduce an issue. 

• Ability to follow QA standards, project processes, documentation expectations, and delivery timelines. 

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience or relevant coursework will also be considered. 

Recommended:  

• Exposure automation tools or frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools. 

• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or similar tools. 

• Basic understanding of browser developer tools and test evidence capture. 

• Willingness to work extended hours or different shifts when project delivery requires it. 

• Ability to adapt to changing technologies, requirements, and client priorities.
