Job Description
- Work as a member of a team responsible for designing, coding, testing and maintaining Visa's Business Solutions B2B line of products.
- Contribute to enhancements and changes to existing B2B applications codebase.
- Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java/J2EE best practices.
- Create code that is easily maintainable and have high system performance.
- Collaborate with Development & QA staff on individual and team deliverables.
- Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Work with operations team for any production issues
- Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices and development methodologies.
- Work closely with project team and other groups (e.g. Network, QA, Ops, Engineering).
- Follow Coding and Design best practices. Participate in design and code review sessions
- Interact with business units to define requirements/modifications and use case to utilize in designing appropriate solutions
- Adapt quickly to new application knowledge and changes
- Work in a loosely structured, fast-paced organization.
This is a hybrid position.Expectationofdays intheoffice will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Education & Experience
1+ yearsof professional software engineering experience
Bachelor's degreein Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Core Technical Skills
Java & Backend Development:
Strong experience withJAVA, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA
Solid understanding ofobject-oriented design principlesand design patterns
Experience withRESTful API developmentand microservices architecture
Proficiency in code development usingIntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or similar Java IDEs
Experience withunit testing frameworks(JUnit, Mockito, TestNG)
Understanding ofmultithreading, concurrency, and Java memory management
Familiarity withreactive programming(Spring WebFlux, RxJava) is a plus
Development Tools & Practices:
Proficient withGIT/Stashfor version control
Experience withMaven or Gradlefor dependency management and builds
Hands-on experience withJenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools
Understanding ofcode review best practicesand collaborative development
Experience withAgile/Scrum methodologies
AI-Assisted Development:
Experience usingAI coding assistants(GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, or similar)
Ability to leverage AI tools toimprove coding efficiencyand code quality
Understanding ofprompt engineeringfor effective AI collaboration
Interest in exploringAI/ML integrationin software applications
Familiarity withLLM APIs(OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) is a plus
