Software Developer – Image Processing (m/f/d)

What you can expect

As a Software Developer for Image Processing at VisiConsult, you will be part of our development team working on advanced solutions for industrial X-ray inspection. Your focus will be on classical image processing and automated defect detection-from algorithm development and validation to deployment at international customers.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and optimize image processing algorithms for industrial X-ray inspection
• Advance solutions for automated defect detection
• Implement customer-specific software modules and adaptations
• Contribute across the full development cycle-from concept and development to validation and deployment
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality
• Support deployments and technical collaboration with internal teams and customers

What you should bring

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
• Strong knowledge of classical image processing, such as segmentation, filtering, and feature extraction
• Good programming skills in C++ or C# and Python
• Practical experience with OpenCV
• Experience with clean code, code reviews, Git, and software development best practices
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing; test automation is a plus
• Experience with imaging or sensor-based systems such as X-ray, CT, or industrial cameras is an advantage
• Structured, independent working style and strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluent German and very good English
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer deployments
