Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to support our data and analytics team. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world healthcare data and business problems. The intern will assist in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support operational efficiency, product improvements, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and processing data from multiple structured and unstructured sources
- Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analyses for internal stakeholders
- Help maintain and optimize data pipelines to ensure data consistency and standardization
- Work with databases to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data as per reporting requirements
- Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets related to healthcare usage and engagement
- Visualize data using charts, graphs, cohorts, heat maps, and other analytical techniques
- Collaborate with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
- Document data definitions, assumptions, and metadata standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and problem-solving approaches
- Working knowledge of SQL/MySQL (queries, joins, basic schema understanding)
- Basic proficiency in Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy preferred)
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Understanding of data gathering, cleaning, and transformation techniques
- Basic awareness of data warehousing and ETL concepts
- Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good to Have
- Exposure to NoSQL databases
- Prior internship, academic project, or coursework involving data analysis
- Interest in healthcare, health-tech, or analytics-driven products
