The Role
The Junior Financial Operations Analyst supports the daily monitoring and analysis of financial transactions and operational processes. The role involves assisting with reconciliation activities, performing data quality checks, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. It is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented professional to develop expertise in payments, banking operations, financial reporting, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor bank transfer flows and support the effective handling of day-to-day financial operations;
- Review operational data and contribute to the identification of trends and opportunities for process improvement;
- Support reconciliation activities across payment flows, card schemes, foreign currency transactions, and bank settlements;
- Perform quality checks on financial data, files, and operational reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency;
- Assist in reviewing and following up on reconciliation items in collaboration with the relevant internal teams;
- Support the preparation and maintenance of operational reports, dashboards, and management information;
- Monitor financial operations activities and communication channels to ensure timely follow-up and appropriate escalation when required;
- Manage and follow up on cases assigned to the Financial Operations team;
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities, reviews, and follow-up actions;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Payments, Technology, Customer Operations, and Finance;
- Contribute to process documentation, operational controls, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Use AI-enabled monitoring or workflow tools to manage daily recovery actions efficiently and accurately.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, Business Analytics, or a related field;
- Up to two years of relevant experience in financial operations, payments, reconciliation, banking, or financial analysis. Recent graduates with relevant academic knowledge or internship experience are also encouraged to apply;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence in working with financial and operational data;
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Access, or business intelligence and reporting tools would be considered an advantage;
- Familiarity with financial transactions, payment flows, bank transfers, reconciliation, or card schemes would be considered an advantage;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and interpret financial data;
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and completeness;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams;
- Willingness to learn, take ownership, and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives;
