Research Engineer, Multi-Agent Systems

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Research Engineer specializing in Multi-Agent Systems to help pioneer the distributed intelligence layer that powers our Digital Twins. This role sits at the intersection of AI research, systems engineering, and human-AI collaboration, focused on enabling Digital Twins to interact, reason, and cooperate in dynamic environments.

You’ll design architectures and coordination mechanisms that allow multiple agents to share knowledge, negotiate goals, and learn collectively, all while maintaining privacy, reliability, and personalization at scale.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement multi-agent frameworks that allow Digital Twins to communicate, reason jointly, and coordinate task execution.
• Develop protocols for agent-to-agent collaboration, including dialogue management, consensus formation, and knowledge sharing.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs) with multi-agent orchestration and memory systems.
• Prototype distributed decision-making and reinforcement learning strategies for cooperative tasks.
• Work closely with Applied Scientists and Platform Engineers to bring multi-agent research into production.
• Contribute to internal publications, demos, and benchmarks around collective intelligence and adaptive AI systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field, with experience in multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, or distributed AI.
• Strong programming background in Python, plus experience with ML/agent frameworks (Ray, LangChain, Hugging Face, PyTorch, etc.).
• Understanding of agent communication protocols, simulation environments, and RAG or memory-augmented architectures.
• Ability to turn complex research ideas into working prototypes and production-ready systems.
• Curiosity about how human-AI collaboration can reshape productivity and organizational knowledge.
• Experience with graph-based reasoning, planning, or coordination algorithms is a plus.
