What you’ll do

Head of Network Development is accountable for planning and developing in the short/medium term access network at market level, fixed and mobile, with the aim of improving operational excellence and accelerate the development of best-in-class new generation Networks. The position works in coordination with ND European Vertical Teams for implementing guidelines and executing deployment of both mobile and fixed networks leveraging on VF global expertise to provide an excellent and superior performance in market to our customers.

The role is aiming at performing roll-out and optimization plans, adopting best practices and shared guidelines, as well as managing key interface relations with local internal and external stakeholders.It will also guarantee full compliance with HSE guidelines/law requirements to set up and maintain a safe work environment for our employees and external partners.

Job Responsibilities

• Design NW Plans at Market level in accordance with the guidelines provided by Central teams for both mobile and fixed network and for all ongoing projects
• Ensure correct dimensioning of the network throughout the year
• Ensure optimal use of NW resources adopting a Smart Capex approach
• Ensure high NW performance in terms of KPIs and customer perception
• Analyze customer perception trends and prepare plans to resolve main issues.
• Manage improvement actions at Market level
• Maintain relationships with CBU and EBU at Market level and participate in their committees to look for solutions for the needs of Business Units.
• Maintain relationships with PA and NRA.
• Guarantee compliance with HSE guidelines/law with specific focus on activities performed on field.
• Decide rollout sequencing and delivery trade-offs (coverage, capacity, quality, cost), balancing customer impact, regulatory constraints, and operational readiness.
• Manage both internal deployment teams and external suppliers to guarantee mobile and fixed network rollout targets.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

• Excellent understanding of the telecommunications market
• Technical experience in multinational companies and large matrix organisations
• Ability to work in global roles and international experience
• Experience in managing external entities, in particular PA and NRA
• Experiencing in sourcing and managing external suppliers
• Experience in managing disperse teams
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to switch from analysis and strategy definition to action

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• High-level degree in Engineering, preferably in telecommunications.
• 10+ years of experience in Technology
• 5-10 years of experience in a senior role
• Fluency in English
