About this Role
We are seeking a Senior Software & Automation Engineer to design, develop and implement automation, AI and machine learning solutions that transform manual processes into efficient digital workflows. This role focuses on delivering business value through software development, automation engineering, data-driven solutions and continuous process optimisation while collaborating with distributed international teams.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop and implement web applications and automation solutions in alignment with defined architectural standards.
- Establish and maintain development standards, tools and best-practice processes for software delivery.
- Work with development and analytics technologies including ETL, reporting, SQL and programming tools.
- Produce development documentation, process flows, diagrams and technical artefacts to support solution delivery.
- Analyse business requirements and identify opportunities to deliver value through automation and digitalisation.
- Optimise requirements and develop solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance operational performance.
Who you are
- Degree-qualified in a technology-related discipline.
- Experience working within international and distributed teams and across projects of varying scope and complexity.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, organisation and prioritisation skills with experience producing project plans, milestones and dependencies.
- 4-7 years of overall professional experience in software engineering, automation or related technology functions.
- Strong understanding of AI and automation application structures, governance, data performance and data security principles.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Django, Flask, JavaScript and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Python automation and data analytics libraries including NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib and Seaborn.
- Working knowledge of profiling tools and object-oriented programming principles.
- Exposure to Angular, Bootstrap, React, React Native and ITIL practices would be advantageous.
- Demonstrates analytical thinking, troubleshooting capability, attention to detail and a flexible approach to problem solving
