What you’ll do

  • Play a key role within the VodafoneThree Field Engineering team, delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support activities across fixed and mobile networks and business solutions.
  • Work safely on VodafoneThree's network infrastructure, including regular climbing, rooftop working, and other physical activities, while maintaining required health and safety standards.
  • Install, maintain, and repair network equipment and services to agreed VodafoneThree quality, performance, and service standards.
  • Adhere to all VodafoneThree HSE Absolute Rules, safe working practices, and operational procedures at all times.
  • Provide professional and timely communication with internal and external customers while identifying opportunities to improve processes and customer outcomes.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, travel requirements, and participation in 24/7 callout rotas or shift patterns as required by the business.

Who you are

Essential

  • Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles.
  • Ability to work both in a team and on your own efficiently and effectively
  • A considerable amount of the role consists of lone working and so the ability to work efficiently, safely and independently is a must
  • Valid / full UK / EU driving license (Category B)
  • Ability to achieve and maintain SC clearance status
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance.

Desirable

  • Provision of service, fault diagnosis and rectification of relevant telecoms technologies.
  • Multi-vendor CPE including Cisco, Juniper and ADVA
  • Core transmission technologies including DWDM and Ethernet
  • Mobile networking technologies 3G/4G/5G and associated equipment
  • Microwave Radio
  • Switch and Field DC power systems
  • Fibre and copper cabling and termination
  • HND or Degree in an appropriate technical subject or relevant industry experience
  • IP & Data accreditations - e.g. Cisco CCNA / CCNP
  • Wireless Network design and deployment
  • LAN/WIFI and peripheral equipment’s
  • Unified communications solutions
  • Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification
