As a Solution Engineer, you will provide expert technical consultancy and solution design support, acting as a trusted partner between our customers, Sales and Delivery teams. You will play a key role in translating business needs into innovative and commercially viable solutions across voice, connectivity, cloud, security and mobile services.
From initial customer engagement through solution design and handover to implementation, you will help shape end-to-end solutions that deliver real value to our business customers.

In this role, you will provide specialist technical support and solution consultancy, acting as an interface between customers, Sales and Delivery teams. You will support pre-sales activities across voice, data connectivity, security, cloud and mobile services, design end-to-end customer solutions, and ensure a smooth handover to implementation and post-sales teams.
What will you do?
- Provide technical consultancy and solution design across voice, data connectivity, security, cloud and mobile services for new and existing business customers.
- Analyse customer business and technical requirements and translate them into technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
- Design complex end-to-end solutions using the relevant Vodafone portfolio, taking into account feasibility, dependencies, risks, security, supportability and customer experience.
- Estimate technical costs and prepare the technical inputs required for customer proposals, tenders and business cases.
- Create solution documentation, including high-level designs, bills of materials, assumptions, service dependencies and implementation requirements.
- Present recommended solution architectures and value propositions to customers and provide strong technical support to Sales teams, external partners and internal stakeholders.
- Provide expert consultancy throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, from discovery and requirements analysis through solution design and commercial support to implementation handover.
- Coordinate specialist inputs and work closely with portfolio, network, platform, security, delivery and operations teams.
- Support solution validation and ensure a clear and effective handover to implementation and post-sales teams.
- Build trusted customer relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling and portfolio expansion.
- Contribute to operating models, procedures and processes required to support proposed solutions.
- Promote consistent solution-design standards, share best practices and help resolve complex technical and architectural issues.
- Perform other job-related duties resulting from the scope of the role or assigned responsibilities.
What knowledge and skills do we expect?
- Strong knowledge of IT and telecommunications solutions for business and corporate customers
- Strong understanding of IP networking, fixed and mobile data connectivity, internet access, SD-WAN, LAN/WLAN, legacy VoIP voice technologies
- Knowledge of local and international access providers, technology partners and their service capabilities
- Good understanding of telecommunications and ICT technologies, including fixed voice, fixed and mobile data, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, unified communications and managed services
- Good understanding of solution architecture, service integration and security principles, including dependencies between customer premises, access networks, core platforms and cloud environments
- Excellent communication, presentation and customer-facing consultancy skills
- Ability to coordinate complex opportunities and manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines
- Awareness of market and technology trends across connectivity, voice, cybersecurity, cloud and mobile services
- Ability to design, document and present technically sound and commercially viable solutions
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn customer requirements, technical data, costs and service options into actionable recommendations
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills
- University degree in telecommunications, information technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
