Volkswagen Group is a German carmaker founded in 1937 and headquartered in Wolfsburg, and it is one of the two largest vehicle manufacturers in the world by volume. It owns an unusually broad brand portfolio spanning Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Skoda, SEAT and Cupra in passenger cars, Bentley and Lamborghini in luxury, Ducati in motorcycles, and MAN and Scania in commercial vehicles through Traton. The group has committed tens of billions of euros to electrification through its modular MEB and PPE platforms, while restructuring its software unit CARIAD and forming a large partnership with Rivian to fix its vehicle electronics.
