Engineer Summer Intern

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Community Design group in our Taylor office. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore status preferred) and possess valid driver’s license. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred. Candidates must be self-motivated, very organized and have excellent communication skills.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Perform routine calculations under senior engineer
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities
• Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data
• Copy and scan project related drawings
• Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools
• Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them
• Work with the Planning department
• Work with the Design (structural) department
• Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department
• Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

• Pursing Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Skills/Experience:

• Valid Driver’s License
