Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of WAF and Load Balancer technologies utilizing best practices of load balancing and client security.
  • Act as an SRE to troubleshoot operational problems at the network, host, and application levels.
  • Automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using IaC (Infrastructure-as-code) tooling.
  • Build tooling to provide monitoring and alerting for key systems and provide automated and manual issue mitigation solutions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Mathematics or 5 years of applicable industry experience.
  • A familiarity with Linux or UNIX systems engineering.
  • Interactive and scripted bash power-user skills (bash fluency).
  • Familiarity with command-line tools.
  • Experience and fluency in one of the following programming languages: Go, C/C++, or Python.
  • Experience in using one of the following configuration management technologies: Salt or Ansible.
  • Experience in using one of the following cloud providers: Azure, Google Cloud/GCP.
  • Experience in using Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure as code.
  • An understanding of application layer protocols such as HTTP/S, DNS, and the basic networking protocols such as Ethernet, IP, and TCP/UDP.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with F5 WAF and Citrix Load Balancer solutions.
  • Fluency in Go and Python.
  • Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
