Role summary:As a Software Engineer II, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. About the team:
The Global Technology CCC team partners with Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Engineering experts to maintain and advance Walmart’s critical infrastructure and cloud platforms. The team ensures high availability and reliability of complex distributed systems through proactive incident management and technical leadership. Members leverage skills in platform engineering, software design, and cloud-native architecture to deliver scalable, resilient solutions. Focused on data-driven decisions and continuous improvement, the team fosters innovation and operational excellence to uphold Walmart’s technology standards and provide seamless service to customers worldwide.
What you'll do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain scalable software solutions using languages such as JavaScript, Python, and C++.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and deliver high-quality features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding standards.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency and innovation.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure robust and reliable software.
- Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and support continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Provide technical guidance to small engineering teams and contribute to solution design and improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices to ensure modular, maintainable software.
- Experience with multiple programming languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, or C++.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Knowledge of continuous integration, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment processes.
- Ability to integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Experience in debugging, quality assurance, and incident management within complex software systems.
- Effective collaboration skills to work across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ownership of deliverables with sound technical judgment and adaptability to change.

Sunnyvale, California US-11657: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
