About the team:
The Dynamic Inventory team plays a vital role in Walmart’s operations by forecasting product demand and optimizing inventory across distribution centers. The team develops advanced ETL and machine learning pipelines to enable precise demand estimation and inventory management. Operating from locations including Sunnyvale and Bangalore, members collaborate to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. They apply expertise in platform design, API development, and continuous integration to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency, supporting Walmart’s commitment to seamless product availability and effective customer service.
What you'll do:
- Develop, test, and deliver software features and services using languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Implement and maintain APIs, user interfaces, and ML model components with a focus on quality and reliability.
- Apply object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices to ensure maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and continuous integration to support software lifecycle and deployment.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage GenAI tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Monitor application performance and resolve technical issues proactively.
- Provide technical guidance to small engineering teams and contribute to process improvements.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in software development using languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, or C++.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver features through collaborative engineering teams, including testing and support.
- Experience with continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Skilled in debugging, quality assurance, and code review to ensure reliable software delivery.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration and generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
