Nous recherchons un(e) Customer Quality Engineer pour rejoindre l'organisation Special Applications de Wärtsilä Energy. Ce poste est basé sur notre site de Surgères.

L'activité Special Applications est dédiée aux services complets sur des équipements stratégiques et critiques. Son périmètre comprend notamment la reconditionnement de moteurs de secours pour certaines centrales nucléaires dans le monde ainsi que les moteurs du char Leclerc pour l'Armée française.

Au sein de cette équipe, vous serez l'interlocuteur privilégié des clients sur toutes les questions liées à la qualité et contribuerez à garantir le respect des exigences contractuelles, réglementaires et opérationnelles tout au long du cycle de vie des projets.

Vos principales responsabilités

Gestion de la qualité client

  • Être l'interface principale du client pour tous les sujets liés à la qualité.
  • Piloter les réclamations clients, les non-conformités et les litiges qualité.
  • Mettre en place et suivre les plans d'actions correctives et préventives en utilisant des méthodes structurées de résolution de problèmes et d'analyse des causes racines.
  • Participer aux équipes contrat et assurer la mise en œuvre des responsabilités qualité définies contractuellement.
  • Élaborer, mettre à jour et maintenir la documentation qualité spécifique exigée par les clients (plans qualité, plans de management, documentation projet).
  • Garantir la conformité aux exigences documentaires, normatives et contractuelles.
  • Accompagner les clients lors des inspections pendant les opérations de reconditionnement et d'installation sur site.
  • Assister le Quality Manager Opérationnel lors des interventions de reconditionnement et des installations.
  • Coordonner et suivre les audits qualité réalisés par les organismes de certification et les clients.

Développement qualité

  • Réaliser des audits avec les représentants des clients conformément aux plannings établis.
  • Collecter et analyser les retours clients afin d'améliorer les performances qualité.
  • Participer au déploiement des outils qualité et des référentiels d'assurance qualité.
  • Proposer et piloter des initiatives d'amélioration continue basées sur les retours terrain et les indicateurs qualité.

Processus et procédures

  • Développer et maintenir les procédures qualité de l'organisation Special Applications.
  • Garantir l'alignement entre les exigences clients, les réglementations applicables et les procédures internes Wärtsilä.
  • Déployer et faire évoluer les processus, outils et systèmes qualité dans votre périmètre de responsabilité.

Culture Qualité et Sécurité

  • Promouvoir et soutenir la culture Qualité, Santé, Sécurité et Environnement au sein de l'organisation.
  • Assurer la qualité des produits, solutions et méthodes de travail.
  • Veiller au respect des standards clients ainsi que des directives Wärtsilä en matière de qualité, santé, sécurité et environnement.
  • Favoriser la coopération entre les différentes équipes, divisions et unités de l'organisation Special Applications.
  • Assurer le suivi et le reporting de la performance qualité à l'aide d'indicateurs clés de performance (KPIs).

Ce que nous recherchons

  • Diplôme d'ingénieur ou formation équivalente dans un domaine technique ou qualité.
  • Expérience en qualité client, assurance qualité ou gestion de la qualité dans un environnement industriel exigeant.
  • Connaissance des méthodes de résolution de problèmes et d'analyse des causes racines.
  • Expérience des audits qualité et des systèmes de management de la qualité.
  • Excellentes compétences relationnelles et orientation client.
  • Capacité à travailler avec des équipes multiculturelles et des parties prenantes variées.
  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais.

We are looking for a Customer Quality Engineer to join Wärtsilä Energy's Special Applications organization. This role is based in our office in Surgères, France.

Special Applications is dedicated to providing lifecycle services for highly strategic and critical equipment. The scope includes the overhaul and reconditioning of emergency engines for selected nuclear power plants worldwide, as well as the engines powering the French Army's Leclerc battle tanks.

In this role, you will serve as the primary customer interface for quality-related matters while ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements throughout project execution.

Main Responsibilities

Customer Quality Management

  • Act as the primary customer interface on all quality-related matters.
  • Manage and follow up customer complaints, disputes, and non-conformities.
  • Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • As a member of contract teams, execute agreed quality responsibilities defined within customer contracts.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update customer-specific quality documentation, including quality management plans and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, documentation, and regulatory quality requirements.
  • Support customer inspections during engine reconditioning activities and onsite installations.
  • Assist the Operational Quality Manager during engine reconditioning and installation projects.
  • Coordinate and monitor customer and certification audits within the defined scope.

Customer Quality Development

  • Plan and conduct audits together with customer representatives.
  • Collect customer feedback and support the deployment of quality tools and quality assurance systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on customer feedback, audit findings, and performance indicators.

Processes and Procedures

  • Develop and maintain Special Applications quality procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements, applicable regulations, and Wärtsilä internal procedures and work instructions.
  • Implement and improve quality systems, processes, tools, and programs within the area of responsibility.

Quality and Safety Culture

  • Support the implementation of a strong quality and safety culture across the organization.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance of products, solutions, and ways of working.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
  • Foster effective cross-functional and cross-unit collaboration within the Special Applications organization.
  • Monitor and report quality performance through relevant KPIs and performance metrics.

What We Expect

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in customer quality, quality assurance, or quality management within an industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience with quality audits and quality management systems.
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English; French is considered an advantage.

  • This position requires travel of up to 20% of working time.
