Position Summary

The Kids’ Interactions, Thoughts, and Experiences (KITE) Project in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking to hire a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator I to join and amplify our growing research team. Our studies examine how social connection and disconnection influence the emergence of suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STBs) in young children. We investigate early developmental risk factors, characterize how STBs are expressed in childhood, and develop evidence-based approaches for screening and assessment in children ages 5-10. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is transforming the landscape of childhood mental health, and we offer a collegial and collaborative work culture that values your contributions.

In your role as a Clinical Research Coordinator I, you will bring your clinical research expertise to assist the Principal Investigator in a longitudinal study examining STBs and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) among children and preteens, involving clinical interviews and behavioral assessments. You may be responsible for several projects simultaneously, acting as a liaison with the sponsoring agency, community, and the study participants; responsible for managing and recording all phases of study protocol as required by sponsoring agency to ensure compliance. This position is primarily in-person, with the possibility of one remote day per week, depending on study needs. You will play an integral role in coordinating our research team, contacting and maintaining communication with research participants, and managing the day-to-day aspects of the study. We offer a collegial and collaborative work culture that values and respects your contributions. Close collaboration with our team of investigators and research staff will be central to your success in this position.
