Join our team at Waythrough and support people facing challenges around mental health, substance use, housing or domestic abuse. About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team, working collaboratively to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse. In this role, you will deliver person-centred recovery planning and case management across all stages of the recovery journey.

You will engage with service users from initial assessment and early engagement through to sustained recovery, ensuring holistic, tailored support that promotes long-term positive outcomes. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will build strong, trusting relationships, empower individuals to set and achieve their goals, and support them in overcoming barriers to recovery.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping individuals regain independence, improve wellbeing, and achieve lasting recovery within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate a caseload of service users, developing and reviewing recovery plans and interventions
  • Carry out triage, screening and comprehensive assessments
  • Deliver one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions
  • Complete risk assessments, safeguarding plans and case management documentation
  • Support service users to access treatment, recovery and community resources
  • Deliver harm reduction interventions and promote recovery-focused outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using online case management systems
  • Support prison in-reach and positive community reintegration where required
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold Waythrough’s values of kindness, courage and respect

About You

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in substance misuse, criminal justice, mental health, social care or related sectors. Transferable skills and a willingness to learn are highly valued.

You will ideally have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this
  • Experience delivering one-to-one or group interventions
  • An understanding of recovery-focused and harm reduction approaches
  • Strong communication and partnership working skills
