You will play a key part in identifying opportunities, developing winning tender strategies and securing new work before taking ownership of project execution through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring strong commercial performance, stakeholder engagement and safe, high-quality project delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Lead project delivery following contract award from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules and commercial performance.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE, quality and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively manage commercial, operational and delivery risks.
  • Manage contractual obligations, scope changes and project variations to maximise commercial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the key interface throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide accurate project reporting and insights to senior leadership.
  • Support business development initiatives through client engagement, networking and market awareness activities.
  • Foster a high-performing culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

About you:

You are a commercially minded project professional with the ability to successfully transition projects from pursuit through to delivery. You bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability and client-facing experience, together with the drive and ambition to identify opportunities, win work and deliver successful outcomes.

You will demonstrate:

  • Experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer or similar leadership role within industrial project environments.
  • Experience contributing to tendering, bid development and project pursuits.
  • Strong process plant experience within the mining, oil & gas, water treatment, power generation or pipeline sectors.
  • A track record of delivering projects valued at $20M+ while managing commercial, contractual and operational outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • The ability to balance safety, schedule, cost and quality outcomes across multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong commercial mindset.
  • A desire to take the next step into a role with greater ownership and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience delivering mechanical or process plant projects within industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience across one or more of the following sectors:

  • Strong understanding of commercial project management principles.
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian safety standards and project delivery practices.

What's on offer:

  • Opportunity to influence projects from tender stage through to successful delivery.
  • A genuine bid-win-deliver role with ownership of the full project lifecycle.
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio across the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors.
  • Career progression within a growing project delivery team.
  • Competitive salary package.
  • Collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
  • The opportunity to be part of the broader Clough and Webuild Group network.
