As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end hardware development and ensuring product reliability from concept through production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into robust PCB layouts, firmware interfaces, and board-level prototypes, while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will influence design choices, component selection, and thermal, signal-integrity, and EMC optimizations to meet tight performance and cost targets. You will also lead troubleshooting efforts, provide design reviews, and support manufacturing turnaround to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
Requirements
- Develop detailed PCB schematics and layout designs for new and existing products.
- Perform signal integrity, thermal, and power analysis to ensure robust performance.
- Select and specify suitable components, carriers, and passive devices for optimal functionality.
- Create design-for-manufacturing (DFM) guidelines and collaborate with manufacturing partners for production readiness.
- Produce manufacturing test plans, repair procedures, and documented validation reports.
- Provide post-production support, including root-cause analysis and field-service assistance.
- Lead rapid prototyping and iterative design improvements based on test feedback.
- Coordinate with firmware and software teams to integrate hardware and embedded software interfaces.
- Manage documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), design change records, and compliance filings.
- Continuously research emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance product competitiveness.
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on PCB design experience using industry-standard tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, etc.).
- Strong understanding of high-speed digital design, impedance control, and power delivery concepts.
- Experience with design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) best practices.
- Proficient in component selection, library management, and schematic capture.
- Hands-on experience with production test setups, boundary-scan, and in-circuit testing.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC, thermal simulation, and IDF/EDIF standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware failures.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.
- Proactive attitude toward learning and adopting new tools, standards, and emerging technologies.
