We are looking for an experienced Java Tech Lead to lead engineering squads responsible for building and delivering scalable enterprise Java applications. The role combines deep technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices with strong team leadership, architecture guidance, code quality ownership, and delivery management.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can guide engineers through complex development challenges while ensuring robust, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of Java engineers through application design, development, testing, and delivery.
• Design and develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Provide technical guidance on application architecture, design patterns, coding practices, and engineering standards.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and architectural best practices.
• Contribute to full-stack feature development using ReactJS where required.
• Design and optimize MongoDB and relational database structures, queries, and integrations.
• Guide the team on Kafka-based integrations, event-driven architectures, and messaging best practices.
• Drive effective CI/CD practices using Jenkins and support continuous delivery initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and other technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions across application and integration layers.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Support Agile planning, estimation, sprint execution, and continuous improvement.
• Track technical delivery progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders and onshore teams.
• Promote engineering quality, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and operational excellence.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 12+ years of overall experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on experience in Java development.
• At least 3+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or similar technical leadership role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and enterprise applications.
• Advanced proficiency in ReactJS and experience contributing to full-stack solutions.
• Strong experience with MongoDB and relational databases, including database design and query optimization.
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven integration patterns.
• Hands-on understanding of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development and delivery practices.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and technically guiding engineering teams.
• Strong code review, debugging, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills, including experience working with onshore and distributed teams.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with team leadership and delivery ownership.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience in the Financial Services domain is an advantage.
• A proactive leadership mindset with strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills.
