Senior Finance Executive

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, and cash flow activities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Indian accounting practices, hands-on experience with accounting software, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while supporting efficient financial operations.

This role requires someone who can independently manage accounting processes, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, coordinate with auditors and consultants, and contribute to strengthening internal financial controls.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• Handle monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Monitor vendor payments, customer collections, outstanding balances, and ageing reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of books of accounts and financial records.
• Review accounting entries and resolve discrepancies to maintain data accuracy.

2. Taxation and Statutory Compliance

• Manage GST-related activities, including invoicing and Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation.
• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and quarterly and annual return filings.
• Ensure timely completion of applicable tax and statutory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders during audits and assessments.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for taxation and compliance purposes.

3. Financial Controls and Revenue Management

• Reconcile revenue and financial transactions across different business channels.
• Ensure adherence to internal finance policies, accounting procedures, and control mechanisms.
• Identify financial discrepancies, investigate accounting issues, and implement appropriate resolutions.
• Support improvements in accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal financial controls.
• Assist in maintaining consistency and transparency across financial records.

4. Banking and Cash Flow Management

• Manage daily banking activities, payment processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with fund planning and cash flow reporting.
• Maintain accurate documentation for banking activities and financial transactions.
• Support payment planning and ensure timely processing of financial obligations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• CA Inter, B.Com, M.Com, or an equivalent qualification.
• 3-5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a startup, SaaS, or product-based organization.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho accounting software.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, GST, TDS, and applicable statutory compliances.
• Understanding of financial reporting, account reconciliations, and Indian accounting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High levels of accountability, integrity, and professional ethics.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic business environment.

• Experience with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with finance automation tools and accounting process optimization.
