We are seeking a proactive Java Application Support Engineer to provide production support, troubleshoot application issues, and ensure the stability and reliability of enterprise Java applications. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving technical challenges, debugging complex issues, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless application performance.

As a Java Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating production incidents, identifying root causes, implementing code fixes, and supporting application releases. You will collaborate with product, development, QA, and customer support teams to resolve technical issues efficiently while contributing to continuous improvements in application stability and operational excellence.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application and production issues in a timely manner.
• Debug Java applications and identify root causes of software defects, performance issues, and system failures.
• Perform code-level troubleshooting and implement bug fixes within existing Java applications.
• Analyze application logs, stack traces, database queries, and system behavior to diagnose technical issues.
• Understand existing codebases and implement small to medium-level enhancements and fixes while maintaining code quality.
• Monitor production environments, prioritize incidents based on business impact, and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring production issues.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, QA, and Customer Support teams to investigate reported issues and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for troubleshooting procedures, known issues, and resolution steps.
• Perform regression testing of fixes and coordinate with QA teams before production deployment.
• Support application releases, deployments, and post-release validation activities.
• Identify recurring operational challenges and recommend improvements to enhance application reliability, stability, and performance.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 1+ years of experience in Java Application Support, Production Support, or Java Software Development.
• Strong understanding of Java applications, debugging techniques, and application troubleshooting.
• Experience analyzing logs, stack traces, SQL queries, and production issues to identify root causes.
• Familiarity with application support processes, incident management, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL for troubleshooting application issues.
• Experience working with version control systems, application deployment processes, and software release cycles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working alongside development, QA, product, and customer support teams.
• Ability to prioritize multiple production incidents while maintaining service quality and meeting business expectations.
