We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Trainer to design and deliver engaging technical training programs that build practical cybersecurity knowledge and capabilities across learners and technology professionals.

The role requires a strong combination of cybersecurity expertise, training delivery, technical communication, and instructional design. You will translate complex cybersecurity concepts into structured, practical learning experiences covering security technologies, threats, defensive practices, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will be able to engage technical and non-technical audiences, deliver hands-on sessions, and continuously update training content to reflect evolving cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instructor-led and virtual cybersecurity training programs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop structured course content, presentations, practical exercises, assessments, demonstrations, and hands-on labs.
• Deliver training on cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, network security, application security, cloud security, and related domains.
• Explain complex cybersecurity concepts using practical examples, real-world scenarios, and interactive demonstrations.
• Develop hands-on exercises that allow learners to apply cybersecurity concepts in realistic environments.
• Assess learner skill levels and customise training approaches based on audience requirements.
• Conduct knowledge assessments, practical evaluations, quizzes, and feedback sessions to measure training effectiveness.
• Maintain and continuously update cybersecurity training content based on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, technologies, and industry practices.
• Incorporate current cybersecurity incidents, attack techniques, defensive strategies, and security case studies into training programs.
• Support the development and maintenance of cybersecurity lab environments and technical demonstrations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, infrastructure, application, and engineering teams to identify training and capability requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and clarification to learners during and after training sessions.
• Track learner participation, performance, feedback, and training outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve learning content, delivery methods, practical exercises, and overall training effectiveness.
• Stay current with cybersecurity frameworks, certifications, security technologies, threat landscapes, and industry developments.
• Support internal cybersecurity awareness and capability-building initiatives where required.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 4+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, network security, application security, or a related domain.
• Proven experience delivering cybersecurity training, technical workshops, or security awareness programs.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, threats, vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and defensive security practices.
• Practical knowledge of network security, endpoint security, application security, cloud security, and security operations.
• Experience explaining technical cybersecurity concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong instructional design and presentation skills with the ability to create engaging and structured learning experiences.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, security platforms, labs, or technical environments.
• Ability to develop practical exercises, demonstrations, assessments, and hands-on cybersecurity labs.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, industry standards, and modern cybersecurity frameworks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a practical approach to cybersecurity challenges.
• Ability to adapt training content and delivery style to different learner profiles and experience levels.
• Comfortable conducting both in-person and virtual training sessions.
• Strong interest in emerging cybersecurity technologies, evolving threat landscapes, and continuous professional learning.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications would be an advantage.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
