We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Network Engineering and Cisco Firewall Security to design, implement, maintain, and secure enterprise network infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience in network architecture, routing and switching, firewall administration, network security, troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimisation. You will be responsible for maintaining reliable and secure network connectivity while supporting business-critical applications and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking expertise, a security-focused mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot complex network and firewall issues in a production environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Internet, and data centre environments.
• Configure and manage Cisco networking equipment including routers, switches, and related network technologies.
• Administer and maintain Cisco Firewall Security environments, including firewall policies, access control rules, NAT, VPNs, and security configurations.
• Design and implement secure network architectures aligned with business and security requirements.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols, switching, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and related network services.
• Implement and support site-to-site and remote-access VPN solutions.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security using appropriate monitoring and management tools.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, routing, switching, and firewall issues.
• Analyse network traffic, logs, alerts, and security events to identify potential issues and support incident resolution.
• Participate in network security assessments, configuration reviews, and infrastructure hardening initiatives.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and technology refresh activities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, and systems teams to resolve cross-functional technical issues.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes and maintain appropriate operational documentation.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, firewall policies, and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, security, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability initiatives for critical network infrastructure.
• Follow established security policies, change-management processes, and operational standards.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of professional experience in network engineering, network administration, or network security.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Network Engineering and Cisco networking technologies.
• Proven experience administering and troubleshooting Cisco Firewall Security environments.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of firewall policy management, access control, VPNs, and network security principles.
• Experience with site-to-site and remote-access VPN technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, traffic control, and infrastructure hardening.
• Experience with network monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across complex network environments.
• Experience supporting production networks with high availability and business-critical requirements.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Experience working with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, systems, and application teams.
• Ability to document network architectures, configurations, security policies, and operational procedures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively to critical network incidents.
• Relevant Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking/security certifications would be an advantage.
