Power Systems Technician
Position Overview
A reputable employer is seeking a technically minded and hands-on Power Systems Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power systems and related electrical equipment.

No formal qualification is required; relevant hands-on experience and technical aptitude will be advantageous. Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of power systems and associated equipment.
• Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting on electrical components and power systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Test electrical components and systems using appropriate testing equipment.
• Read and interpret basic wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and system specifications where required.
• Identify technical faults and assist with implementing corrective measures.
• Assist with the testing and commissioning of power system components.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and test results.
• Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
• Work alongside technical personnel to resolve problems and ensure reliable system performance.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric will be advantageous but is not essential.
• No formal qualification is required.
• Practical experience in electrical systems, power systems, electronics, or technical maintenance will be advantageous.
• Basic technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
