Are you looking to gain valuable industry experience? WGM Group has an opportunity for a Civil Engineering Intern for summer 2027 in our Kalispell office.
WGM Group is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary engineering firm including, planning & design, survey, environmental and natural resource management. As an intern, you will be sure to get exposure to a variety of project types and disciplines to help you grow and expand your knowledge.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist on projects involving civil engineering tasks, planning, and design.
- Produce redlines on engineering documents using Civil3D.
- Provide survey support as a field crew member completing grade stake computations and marking.
- Perform construction observation and infrastructure testing for water and sewer.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimate quantities.
- Conduct traffic counts.
- Maintain project files and databases.
- Support development of reports, calculation packages, and specifications.
- Depending on experience, may assist with designing plans for a wide range of projects including public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions.
Qualifications:
As a valued member of our engineering team, you will have at a minimum:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Package:
