Junior Software Engineer (API Integrations)

The Junior Integration Engineer supports the Integration Engineer in building and maintaining the API integrations that power the

Admiral International Gaming Corporation mobile application, with a focus on OTP, KYC, payment gateway (PG) / wallet, and

geofencing functionality. This role works under the guidance and direction of the Integration Engineer.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist the Integration Engineer in implementing the OTP, KYC, payment gateway (PG) / wallet, and geofencing API

integrations, working on the modules and tasks assigned.

• Carry out routine maintenance of the KYC, OTP, PG / wallet, and geofencing APIs as assigned, including bug fixes, minor

updates, and configuration changes.

• Monitor API logs and performance, and report errors, failures, and unusual behavior to the Integration Engineer as soon as

they are found.

• Write and run tests for assigned API changes, and support testing and troubleshooting of integration issues, including

gathering logs and reproducing problems.

• Submit code for review before release, and apply the feedback of the Integration Engineer.
• Keep API documentation, runbooks, and handover notes up to date for the work assigned.
• Provide routine maintenance and escalation coverage when the Integration Engineer is unavailable, following the handover

notes.

• Follow the team's coding standards and data-handling practices when working with PII and payment data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in application development with React and Java (recent graduates are welcome to apply).
• Basic knowledge of databases (DB) and REST APIs.
• Willingness to learn and to work under the guidance of senior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or project experience integrating third-party APIs for OTP, KYC, payment gateways, or geofencing.
• Familiarity with version control and code review practices.
• Interest in regulated industries such as gaming, fintech, or banking.
