Hands-on Playwright (typescript): fixtures, locators, authentication state, trace viewer, parallel runs
Test architecture and maintainability as the suite grows
Test data management: seeding through APIs or backend commands, isolating data between parallel tests
CI/CD integration and reporting
Diagnosing and fixing flaky tests
Turning manual regression into automation and prioritising what to automate first
Backend awareness, ideally Python/Django and REST APIs
Has built a suite from zero, not only added to an existing one
Must-have requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Proven experience building an E2E automation framework from scratch.
- Experience testing modern web applications, preferably built with React or Next.js.
- Ability to design maintainable test architecture, manage test data, and support parallel execution.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging skills, particularly in identifying and resolving flaky tests.
- Ability to assess manual regression scenarios and develop an automation roadmap.
Nice-to-have requirements
- Python and Django experience.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and backend data setup.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing and development tools.
- Broader full-stack development experience.
