Workday is an American enterprise software company founded in 2005 by two PeopleSoft executives after Oracle's hostile takeover of their previous employer. It sells cloud applications for human capital management and financial management to large organisations, covering core human resources records, payroll, talent, workforce planning, general ledger accounting, procurement and planning in a single system with one data model and a common release schedule for every customer. Headquartered in Pleasanton and listed on Nasdaq, it competes principally with SAP and Oracle for large enterprise deployments and has embedded artificial intelligence agents across its applications.

About the Team

Employees are our #1 value. We're an agile organisation that's constantly looking for ways to improve, with a sharp focus on the value we deliver to our customers - working closely with people to get fast feedback and reach the right outcomes.

You'll be joining the APAC Technical Services team, part of Workday's Global Services organization dedicated to implementing our cloud-based software. We own the Data Conversion, Integration, and Extend workstreams on Workday implementation projects. As a diverse group driven by a passion for our customers' success, we provide the leadership and technical expertise that guides customers efficiently through their deployments - it's an exciting, fast-paced, and rewarding place to grow your career!

About the Role

As a Senior Integration Consultant, you'll play a key role in delivering successful Workday Student deployments, leading integration architecture and providing advisory support to implementation partners across the full project lifecycle. You'll work closely with customers, partners, project managers, functional consultants, technical teams, architects, and third-party vendors to define the integration strategy, shape scalable solution designs, and connect Workday Student with the wider higher education technology landscape.

You'll bring strong technical problem-solving skills, a solid grasp of integration architecture and delivery methods, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll help partners and customers understand integration requirements, weigh up design options, resolve technical challenges, and adopt Workday implementation best practices.

You'll support integrations across key Workday Student areas, including:

  • Student records, admissions, curriculum, registration, and enrolment

  • Academic advising, student success, progression, completion, and graduation

  • Student financials, financial aid, scholarships, payments, and sponsorships

  • Identity management, learning management systems, reporting, analytics, and compliance platforms

  • Third-party higher education applications, including timetabling, exams, document management, campus services, and partner solutions

As a senior member of the team, you'll lead design discussions, provide technical assurance, contribute reusable integration patterns, and help drive high-quality outcomes for our higher education customers. Success in this role comes from being self-motivated, customer-focused, organized, and reliable, with strong follow-through and consulting skills.

About You

We are looking for hardworking, creative consultants who are passionate about what they do! You should excel at explaining complex concepts in simple terms and understanding customer procedures. You are curious about how things work and love solving puzzles.

You should be an innovative self-starter who can drive ideas from concept through implementation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with data migration, integration development, report building, or software development

  • 6+ years of experience with technical architecture and consulting, requirements gathering, leading complex solution design within the Student domain

  • 6+ years of experience with leading integration workstream ownership

Other Qualifications

  • Prior experience with higher education technology systems (SIS, LMS, admissions, student financial, financial aid, or identity management platforms)

  • Experience across the complete software implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, integration design, development, testing, and move to production

  • Strong background in technical architecture, with experience designing data flows, integration patterns, and security models across SaaS ecosystems and external services

  • Strong technical acumen, including the ability to understand, apply, and troubleshoot technical information and systems to enhance efficiency and problem-solving

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust with customers and partners and explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Previous consulting experience, either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company, is a plus

  • Previous experience with Workday integration technologies such as EIB, orchestration, and Workday Studio is a plus

  • An eagerness to work through challenges independently, staying agile and flexible as the environment changes

  • A passion for learning and building skills in new technologies, including AI products, prompt engineering, and agent development

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
