Job Description:

To provide technical capacity in graphic design, videography and photography to the Communications and Public Engagement team, producing brand compliant multimedia content that supports World Vision Kenya’s FY26-30 strategy, programme documentation, donor reporting, stakeholder engagement and public engagement across the 33 counties of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

• Design capacity statements, county and programme profiles, project briefs, annual reports, strategy summaries, presentation templates, social media graphics and infographics using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Turn programme data and evidence into clear infographics and data visuals, working with content developers, programme teams and the Programme Effectiveness and Impact team.
• Prepare print ready files (bleed, CMYK, correct resolution) and optimized digital assets for events, fundraising initiatives such as the Inuka Angaza Fund, and public engagement campaigns.
• Build and maintain branded templates in PowerPoint, Word and Canva so that recurring materials can be produced quickly and consistently.
• Ensure every design complies with World Vision Kenya and World Vision International brand guidelines.

Videography and Video Production

• Plan, shoot and edit videos for programme documentation, donor reporting, events, campaigns and Vision Pulse using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve).
• Deliver finished films with captions, licensed music, colour grading and a clean sound mix, cut to platform specifications for YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X.
• Conduct field shoots across the 33 counties of operation as required, upholding child safeguarding and consent standards.
• Organise and archive footage in line with WVK records management standards.

Photography

• Capture high quality photographs during field visits, events, donor engagements and emergency response, upholding child safeguarding and consent standards.
• Edit and colour correct images in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for print and digital use.
• Maintain the photo library with captions, metadata and tagging for easy retrieval by the Communications team.

Other Responsibilities

• Take part in creative planning with the Communications and Public Engagement team and deliver all assigned projects on time.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor or designee.
• Attend and participate in daily and weekly chapel and devotional meetings.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional experience

• Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in graphic design, with proven videography and photography skills.
• A portfolio showing print and digital design (reports, profiles, infographics, social media), edited video and photography. Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical design and editing test.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve) for video editing and motion graphics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom for photo editing and Canva for templates used by non-designers.
• Working knowledge of DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting and audio recording equipment.
• Sound understanding of brand guidelines and child safeguarding principles in visual content.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

• Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Film Production, Communications or a related field.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

• Motion graphics and animation skills in Adobe After Effects.
• Drone videography and photography with a valid KCAA license.
• Familiarity with Figma or Adobe Express for quick digital layouts.
• Strong creative eye, attention to detail and ability to deliver to brief under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team, with willingness to travel across Kenya.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

• The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 30% of the time.
• Physical Requirements: Office based in Nairobi with field travel as required.
