The Corporate Partnerships Executive will be responsible for end-to-end management of Corporate Partners. Reporting to the Partnership Specialist - Corporate, the Corporate Partnerships Executive will manage relationships with existing Corporate Partners and seek out strategic opportunities to grow these relationships, as well as acquire new Corporate Partners to meet the strategic objectives of the Corporate Partnerships team and WVL.
The role aims to contribute to the development and implementation of the National Resource Development plan that will allow WVL to continue to cultivate, diversify and grow its donor network among corporates. As such, the position will identify, pursue, and negotiate financial and non-financial Partnerships with a range of Partners within the Corporate sector, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of Projects within these Partnerships, and growing these relationships. This position will also assist in connecting the communities WVL works in to Corporate Partners to ensure sustainability of the projects WVL implements.
Major Responsibilities
- Developing a strategic plan to approach potential partners and increase partnerships with WVL.
- Working with the Technical, Operations and Finance teams to develop winning concept notes and proposals.
- Ensure funding opportunities are identified and proposals are submitted in a timely manner.
- Managing the end-to-end relationship with corporate partners, ensuring the project meets the CSR requirements of the corporate partner, monitoring and reporting on project progress.
- Ensuring key management staff are aware of key milestones and meet contractual requirements.
- Chair meetings with corporate partners / donors (and internal staff as required) to discuss project proposals, project progress, and issues, risks, etc.
- Lead negotiations with external donors and Operations / Technical teams during proposal development and project implementation.
- Working with the communications team to develop and disseminate WV products.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar / related field / or management / marketing including experience in corporate partnerships / CSR projects
- Degree in Marketing, Business Economics, Management, Development, Non-profit Management or other relevant field
- Relationship management skills to effectively manage the Corporate partnerships.
- Good proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Well conversed in spoken and written English and/or Sinhala and Tamil languages.
- The position requires to travel up to 50% of the time.
