Position Summary

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Director, Organizational Development & Learning. The Director, Organizational Development & Learning leads strategies that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership and manager capability, workforce readiness, and WWF’s Values. In partnership with senior leaders, this role advances organization design, change and talent management. The Director also oversees enterprise learning and leadership programs, uses data to measure impact, and builds the capabilities required to deliver WWF’s strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the Organizational Development & Learning strategy in alignment with WWF and People & Culture priorities.
  • Lead the people and organizational dimensions of enterprise change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communications, adoption, and sustainability.
  • Design and deliver leadership, manager, and employee development programs that build critical capabilities, support performance, and enable career growth.
  • Lead talent and organizational effectiveness practices, including organization design, succession and workforce planning, talent reviews, performance management, competency models, and employee engagement.
  • Oversee the annual learning curriculum-from needs assessment and program design through delivery and impact measurement.
  • Lead WWF’s artificial intelligence learning initiative and maintain relevant organizational development and learning policies, procedures, and resources.
  • Manage coaching and assessment programs, including 360-degree feedback, DiSC, EQ-i, and other tools; maintain required certifications.
  • Facilitate learning sessions and executive or team interventions as needed.
  • Manage the organizational development and learning budget and advise senior leaders on decentralized training budgets.
  • Chair WWF’s Learning Committee and represent People & Culture in related forums.
  • Manage staff, consultants, vendors, and complex projects to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, human resources, psychology, education, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in organizational development, learning and development, talent management, or a related discipline. We are looking for a person that has experience in Organizational Development and Learning specifically, as a practitioner and as a function leader/manager.
  • Demonstrated success designing and leading enterprise organization development, change management, leadership development, and talent initiatives.
  • Experience with learning technologies, learning management systems, and data-informed program evaluation.
  • Strong consulting, facilitation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex, cross-functional projects and budgets.
  • Advanced knowledge of adult learning, organizational behavior, and change management principles.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in organizational development, industrial-organizational psychology, learning, business administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification, such as SHRM-SCP, coaching, Hogan, MBTI, EQ-I 360, or a comparable credentials.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector.
