Purpose

YouwillprovidepipingdesignservicestoWorleyanditscustomers,includingtechnicalsupportandcoordinationwithinthepipingdesignteam.

Responsibilities

• DeliverpipingdesignservicesthatmeetWorley,itscustomers',andapplicablestatutoryandregulatoryspecifications,ontimeandwithinbudget.
• Developandpreparepipingdesigndeliverablesinsupportofprojectrequirements.
• Performpipingdesignservicessuchas:
  • Participateinrelevantmeetings,prepareprogressreports,andfollowrequiredcheckingandqualitycontrolprocedures.
  • Ensuretheprojectscopeisclearandthatdesignchangescomplywithprojectchangemanagementprocesses.
  • Providesupportduringprocurement,construction,andcommissioningactivitiesthroughpreparationofdesigndeliverablesandresolutionofdesign-relatedissues.
  • Develop and maintain 3D models, equipment layouts, piping arrangements, isometrics, and constructiondrawings.
• If required, act as the Lead Piping Designer on specificprojects.
• If responsible forateam:
  • Outline project requirements, assign tasks, supervise progress, and actively promote worksharewhereappropriate.
  • EnsuretherequiredservicesmeetWorley,customer,andapplicablestatutoryandregulatoryrequirements,ontimeandwithinbudget.
• ProactivelyresolvediscrepanciesbetweenWorleyandcustomerrequirements.
• Keepuptodatewiththelatestdevelopments,softwareapplications,andtechnicalinnovationsinpipingdesign.
• Assistandsupportjuniordesignersanddraftingpersonnelasrequired.
• Communicateeffectivelywithprojectstakeholders,includingcustomers,engineeringdisciplines,projectmanagement,procurement,andconstructionteams.
• Identifyissuesandproblems,developpracticalsolutions,andseekassistancewhenrequired.

Technical/IndustryExperienceandQualificationsRequirements

• Strongtechnicalandpracticalpipingdesignskillswiththeabilitytoconsistentlydeliverquality,accurate,andtimelyworktoWorleyanditscustomers.
• Soundknowledgeofthefundamentalprinciplesofpipingdesignanddraftingpractices.
• Understandingofthebasicrequirementsofotherengineeringdisciplinesandtheirinterfaceswithpipingdesign.
• Knowledgeofapplicablelocalandinternationalcodes,standards,statutory,andregulatoryrequirements.
• Proficientinpipingdesignsoftwaresuchas:
  • AutoCADPlant3D
  • CADWorx
  • SmartPlant3D(SP3D)
  • E3D/PDMS
  • Otherindustry-standardpipingdesignsoftware
• CompetentuseofMicrosoftOfficeSuite.
• Substantialpracticalexperienceinpipingdesignwithinthepetrochemical,refining,oilandgas,orrelatedindustries.
• Experienceworkinginmulti-disciplinaryprojectenvironmentsandteams.

PreferredExperience

• 3to5yearsofpipingdesignexperience.
• Atleast3to5yearssupportingpetrochemicalandrefiningprojectsthroughdesign,execution,andconstructionphases.
• On-siteand/orrefineryexperience.
• Refineryexperience.
• OilandGasindustryexperience.

• ThisroleislocatedintheWorleyLongBeach,Californiaoffice andisnoteligibleforremotework.
• SalaryHourlyRange:$36.78- $54.08,commensuratewithexperienceandlevelofposition.

Education-Qualifications,Accreditation,Training

Required

• Associatedegree,technicaldiploma,certificateinDrafting/DesignTechnology,EngineeringTechnology,orequivalentcombinationofeducationandrelevantindustryexperience.

Preferred

• Additionalcertificationsortraininginpipingdesign,CADsoftware,3Dmodeling,orrelatedtechnicaldisciplines.
• Relevantcourseworkinengineeringtechnology,design,projectmanagement,orsupervisorydevelopment.
• Bachelors Degree
• 3+yearsofpipingdesignexperienceinrefinery,petrochemical,oroil&gasfacilities.

• Experienceproducingpipinglayouts,isometrics,plotplans,equipmentarrangements,supportdetails,andconstructionworkpackages.
• ProficiencywithAutoCADPlant3D,CADWorx,SmartPlant3D(SP3D),orE3D/PDMS.
• Familiaritywithfieldverification,as-builtdocumentation,andcoordinationwithconstructionteams.
• Strongunderstandingofindustrystandards,designpractices,andmulti-disciplineprojectexecution.
