What you need to do:
- Deliver insights to help shape the product and business decisions, and effectively communicate data to leadership and other consumers within the organization, by delivering effective presentations, understandable visualizations and brief summaries of your findings and insights.
- Collaborate with editors and other newsroom members to understand their needs and requirements, and help them by delivering data and research insights to help shape the editorial decisions.
- Help formulate a Content Strategy and make the entire Editorial team more customer oriented through insights on how different audience segments consume our content and making both our content creation and packaging smarter. Combine data informed content insights with user and market research findings and also regularly update the Newsroom on other news products in India and across the world.
- Own and democratize data across the organization. Own and evangelize data-driven experimentation in the team to improve the product offerings, and document it.
- Help automate everything, ranging from reporting to dashboards to self-serve analytics capabilities.
Who you need to be:
- Bachelors degree in Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 3-5 years of analytics experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL. Python is a must; Experience with R and other statistical tools is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing priorities on multiple fronts.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to hypothesize, derive inferences from data and formulate actionable recommendations.
