What does a Creative Art Worker do at WPP Production?

As a Creative Art Worker, you will work alongside a talented team of Creative and Technical Artworkers, Account Managers, Print Project Managers, and Quality Control specialists. You will operate in a fast-paced, creative environment, producing high-quality visuals, concepts, guidelines, and print-ready artwork across multiple formats for global brands.

You will ensure all deliverables adhere to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, quality expectations, and production deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage briefs from internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop creative concepts and execute creative expansion across multiple asset types.
• Produce high-quality visuals and convert concepts into print-ready artwork.
• Deliver artwork, layouts, and executional retouching across a wide range of media and formats.
• Collaborate closely with print production teams, clients, account management teams, and wider WPP Production stakeholders.
• Ensure all communications, collateral, and assets remain on-brand and aligned with client guidelines.
• Deliver consistently high-quality work within agreed timelines and deadlines.
• Proactively identify and resolve production and artwork-related challenges.
• Respond promptly to stakeholder requests and provide status updates where required.
• Follow established workflows, processes, and best practices using relevant production technologies.
• Apply accessibility standards and guidelines across digital and print materials.
• Support colour testing, structured reader setup, and accessible document creation.
• Participate in team meetings, workflow discussions, workload planning, and issue resolution activities.
• Maintain compliance with WPP Production policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working within creative studios, artwork production environments, or print production agencies.
• Strong experience in creative expansion, visualization, artwork production, and print-ready asset creation.
• Sound understanding of print production processes, colour management, and accessible document creation.
• Experience in executional retouching and image manipulation.
• Excellent layout, typography, and visual design skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Mac-based creative production environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including:
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
• Advanced PowerPoint presentation design and production skills.
• Advanced Adobe Acrobat skills.
• Experience producing artwork for:
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising
  • Brochures
  • Print collateral
  • Social media static assets
  • Marketing and campaign materials
• Strong understanding of accessibility requirements and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide clear feedback and effectively communicate challenges and solutions.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

• Advanced retouching and image visualization expertise.
• Experience supporting global brands and multinational client accounts.
• Experience developing accessibility-compliant documentation.
• Knowledge of structured reader setups and accessible PDF production.
• Experience working within large-scale creative production or marketing services organizations.
• Exposure to both print and digital asset production environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within large advertising agencies, creative studios, marketing production environments, or global content production teams.
• Experience managing artwork production for international and multi-market campaigns.
• Experience supporting high-volume creative production workflows.
