THE ROLE

VML Health is looking for a Junior Digital Strategy Intern to join our team.

This internship is designed as a learning journey where you will work alongside senior digital strategist to understand how data, channel dynamics, and digital ecosystems come together to build impactful healthcare communication strategies.

If you have a strong passion for digital innovation, eagerness to learn, and an interest in understanding the full customer journey-from web and social media to CRM and live events-this role will offer you hands-on experience in a top-tier global agency environment.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN & DO

Under the guidance and mentorship of senior team members, you will learn how to:

• Understand the Customer Journey: Learn how to analyze audience needs, behaviors, and healthcare provider (HCP) touchpoints across the full customer journey to build meaningful engagement strategies.
• Build Digital & Omnichannel Ecosystems: Discover how to connect different channels (websites, apps, CRM, social media, paid media, and event-based digital activations) into cohesive, personalized ecosystems.
• Design Integrated Campaigns: Assist in brainstorming and designing insightful, innovative, and effective campaign strategies tailored for pharma and healthcare clients.
• Master Data & Analytics: Develop skills in analyzing digital metrics, interpreting audience data, and translating numbers into clear, actionable stories (data storytelling).
• Execute & Track Digital Tactics: Gain practical experience in supporting social media campaigns, online ads, and event-based engagement activities, learning how to track performance against KPIs.
• Support Pitching & New Business: Learn how strategic proposals are built for new business pitches, contributing research, trend analysis, and deck preparation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Learn project management fundamentals by working closely with creative, medical, and technical teams, as well as external suppliers.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Educational Background: Degree (or ongoing Master’s) in Marketing, Digital Communication or a related field.
• Passion for Digital: A genuine curiosity about digital marketing channels, omnichannel trends, and emerging technologies.
• Analytical Mindset: Basic understanding of digital metrics and a desire to learn how to translate data into strategic insights.
• Communication Skills: Good presentation skills and proficiency in building clear presentation decks (PowerPoint/Keynote).
• Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required, as you will work in an international environment.
• Personal Attributes: Ambition, energy, curiosity, and an eager-to-learn, proactive attitude.
