About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Django Developer to join our development team and build reliable, scalable, and high-performance web applications and APIs. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineers to design, develop, and maintain backend services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and RESTful APIs using Python and Django/Django REST Framework.

• Design and implement clean, scalable, and maintainable backend architecture.

• Work with PostgreSQL and design efficient database models and queries.

• Develop authentication, authorization, permissions, and API security mechanisms.

• Integrate third-party services and external APIs.

• Write clean, reusable, well-tested, and documented code.

• Optimize application performance and database queries.

• Debug and resolve production and development issues.

• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with web applications.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions.

• Work with Docker and development/deployment environments.

• Monitor and improve the reliability and scalability of backend services.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience with Python and Django.

• Strong knowledge of Django and Django REST Framework.

• Good understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design.

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

• Understanding of authentication methods such as JWT, OAuth 2.0, or session authentication.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Experience with Docker.

• Understanding of asynchronous programming and background task processing.

• Knowledge of software engineering principles and clean code practices.

• Ability to write readable, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Celery and Redis.

• Experience with WebSockets / Django Channels.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with Linux and Nginx.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Experience designing microservices or distributed systems.

• Experience writing automated tests with Pytest or Django Test Framework.

• Familiarity with OpenAPI / Swagger.

• Experience working with AI/LLM APIs or other external AI services.
