Overview

The IT Analyst, Accounting role supports the Finance team and combines technical data skills with foundational finance knowledge. Based in Cebu, Philippines, this position will support existing applications and data processes used by U.S. operations, with a strong focus on SQL, reporting, data analysis, and validation. The role is suited to someone who enjoys investigating data issues and supporting established systems rather than developing new applications.

What You Will Do

• Use SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, troubleshoot, and validate data across existing applications and databases.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, data issues, and potential root causes.
• Create, review, and validate reports to support accurate and consistent information.
• Use Excel, including formulas, filtering, pivot tables, and reporting, to analyze and present data.
• Communicate findings and data-related issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Need to Succeed

• Strong knowledge of SQL queries, including SELECT statements, JOINs, filtering, aggregations, subqueries, and data troubleshooting.
• Understanding of database structures, tables, relationships, and connected data sources.
• Strong data analysis, reporting, data validation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Excel or spreadsheets, including formulas, filtering, pivot tables, and reporting.
• Foundational finance knowledge and education that combines finance and technology, such as Accounting Technology or a related area.
