Schedule: Days, Monday-Friday (Overtime available on Saturdays!)

Compensation: $30.46 per hour

Position Overview

Xerox is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Operator to support the manufacturing and reclaiming of fuser, pressure, and metering rolls within WFBC. This position operates fully automated machinery, manually loaded equipment, and a variety of precision machining systems to produce parts that meet established quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable setting up, operating, adjusting, and troubleshooting CNC and conventional manufacturing equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machining equipment.
• Operate turret lathes, large multiple-spindle drill presses with up to 72 spindles, precision grinding equipment, and boring equipment.
• Operate waterjets, washers, ovens, pinning equipment, and synchronous and non-synchronous transfer equipment.
• Operate sophisticated material-handling equipment, including hoists, jib cranes, and overhead bridge cranes.
• Complete equipment setups and changeovers while adjusting speeds and feeds to produce parts according to specifications.
• Make approved program edits and troubleshoot machining or process-related issues.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and worksheets.
• Inspect and gauge parts using precision measurement tools, including micrometers, laser micrometers, verniers, dial gauges, electronic indicators, surface plates, and standard or specialized gauges.
• Monitor processes through manual and automated Statistical Process Control (SPC) tracking.
• Adjust process equipment as needed to maintain established operating parameters.
• Zero gauges and ensure measurement equipment is properly maintained.
• Monitor cutting-tool wear and replace tools as necessary to maintain product specifications.
• Access and enter production data using Windows-based computer systems.
• Retrieve and return tools and gauges from designated storage areas.
• Coordinate the calibration of gauges with the Metrology team.
• Work with ferrous and non-ferrous materials, coolants, solvents, soaps, pins, and other manufacturing materials.
• Follow all safety procedures, including requirements related to robotics, lasers, machinery, material handling, and personal protective equipment.
• Establish and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others in the department.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years experience operating CNC, automated, or conventional machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Can complete machine setups, equipment changeovers, program edits, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and manufacturing instructions.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify that parts meet required specifications.
• Understand machining concepts such as speeds, feeds, cutting-tool wear, and process adjustments.
• Experience using SPC methods or other production-quality tracking systems.
• Experience with Windows-based computer systems to access and record manufacturing data.
• Can safely operate material-handling equipment and work with various manufacturing materials.
• Detail-oriented and committed to quality, accuracy, and workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience manufacturing or reclaiming rollers, precision components, or similar products.
• Experience operating turret lathes, multi-spindle drill presses, waterjets, grinders, boring equipment, or transfer equipment.
• Familiarity with robotic and laser safety procedures.
• Experience working with automated manufacturing cells.
