Salary: AUD 50,000-65,000 per year (base salary), plus commission and superannuation.
We are seeking a high-activity, results-oriented Business Development Manager to support sales growth across the Asia Pacific region, with a primary focus on Australia, ASEAN, and India.
This is a transactional, high-volume role. Success is defined by your speed, responsiveness, and ability to efficiently manage a large pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities. You will be the engine of our regional growth, qualifying leads and converting high volumes of interest into consistent revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Management & Conversion
Inbound Responsiveness: Manage a high volume of inbound leads, ensuring industry leading response times and effective qualification.
Outbound Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities to maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Pipeline Velocity: Progress opportunities rapidly through the early and mid-stages of the sales cycle to ensure consistent conversion.
Customer Support: Serve as the first point of contact for technical and commercial queries, coordinating with internal teams to provide accurate solutions
Operational Excellence
Sales Discipline: Maintain meticulous CRM records and practice excellent pipeline hygiene.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on activity levels, conversion rates, and performance against key revenue targets.
Account Retention: Identify repeat business opportunities and drive consistent, long-term engagement with the customer base.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills
Sales Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or inside sales.
High-Volume Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-activity environment, managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Communication: Clear and confident communication skills. Working proficiency in English is required.
Organisational Skills: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritising
tasks to meet tight deadlines.
Drive: A resilient, proactive professional who is motivated by hitting targets and achieving measurable results.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Knowledge: A background in Engineering or Manufacturing is highly beneficial.
Tech-Savvy: Strong experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools.
