Responsibilities:
- Assist in the conceptualization, design, and testing of predictive statistical models and quantitative trading signals
- Participate in the review and analysis of the performance of new and existing investment strategies
- Support data mining from unconventional or alternative data sources to contribute to the development of innovative trading strategies
- Help monitor daily risks, trading systems, and portfolio positions, and contribute to risk assessment processes
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, technology, operations, and data teams to implement research findings and support the integration of new models into the investment process
Required Technical Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline
- Solid foundation in probability and statistics, including familiarity with machine learning, time-series analysis, or pattern recognition
- Proficiency in Matlab, C#, Python, or SQL
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and conduct rigorous research
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to operate independently as well as part of a team
