Test Lead - OpenText UFT

We are looking forward to hire OpenText UFT Professionals in the following areas:

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using OpenText UFT One and Playwright.
• Convert approved manual regression test cases into stable and maintainable automated tests.
• Execute automated test suites for sprint, regression, and release testing.
• Analyze automation execution results and troubleshoot script, test data, environment, and application-related failures.
• Maintain UFT object repositories, reusable functions, test data, and supporting automation assets.
• Maintain Playwright tests using TypeScript or JavaScript, including locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, and page objects.
• Update automated tests when application functionality or user interfaces change.
• Log, track, retest, and document defects using Jira and Zephyr or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, developers, and QA team members to understand requirements and validate functionality.
• Prepare automation execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, issues, and dependencies to the project team.
• Participate in peer reviews and follow the automation standards, framework, and processes established by the QA team.
• Support knowledge transfer and maintain clear technical documentation for UFT and Playwright test assets.
• Follow Medline quality, security, privacy, documentation, and change-management expectations.

Skill and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation using OpenText UFT One and Playwright.
• Strong experience with UFT One, VBScript, object repositories, descriptive programming, reusable functions, data tables, error handling, and reporting.
• Strong experience with Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript, including locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, page objects, configuration, and parallel execution.
• Experience in web application automation testing and regression suite maintenance.
• Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle, test design, regression testing, defect lifecycle, and risk-based testing.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Zephyr, ALM, or equivalent test and defect management tools.
• Working knowledge of Git or Bitbucket and CI/CD execution concepts.
• Ability to investigate failures across automation scripts, application behavior, test data, and test environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.

Good to Have Skills:

• SAP GUI or SAP Fiori testing experience.
• Exposure to GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted test automation.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Exposure to Jenkins or an equivalent CI/CD tool.
• Healthcare or enterprise application testing experience.
